Andy Ames is an American runner. Ames concentrated on duathon (run/bike) events from 1999-2002. In 2000, he was named U.S. Duathlete of the Year and was ranked number #1 for 2001. Placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the Duathlon World Championships (age group).

Ames' first love was racing bicycles. I started running seriously as a walk-on for the University of Colorado. Employed since 1989 as the buyer at Excel Sports Boulder (bicycle mail order). [1]
