A bib is a tyvek sheath which is worn over the shoulders and hangs from the athlete's neck. It has a large hole through which the athlete places his head and neck. Bibs are worn primarily in skiing and rodeo competitions. This contrasts with race numbers or competition numbers which are printed tyvek squares which athletes pin to the clothes without a neck hole. Occassionally, an inexperienced race organizer will mistakenly refer to race numbers as bibs, because both are printed and supplied from the same vendors. main75.jpg
