Deriba Merga Ejigu (1980-) is an Ethiopian marathon runner.

He finished sixth at the 2006 IAAF World Road Running Championships, which helped Ethiopia to a bronze medal in the team competition.

He made his marathon debut at Fukuoka Marathon in December 2007, finishing second to Sammy Wanjiru. He finished 6th at London in April 2008, running his personal best of 2:06:39. In August, Deriba finished 4th in the Olympic marathon after being passed by teammate Tsegay Kebede in the final 400m.

Merga also won the 113th Boston Marathon on April 20, 2009, with a time of 2:08:42.[2]
