Francis Chepsiror Kirwa (1974-) is a Finnish marathon runner who was born in Kenya. In the 2008 Summer Olympics marathon, he finished in 17th place with a time of 2:14:22.
Francis competed for Life University in Marietta, Georgia.
In 1998 and 2000, Kirwa won the Boston Mayor's Cup Cross Country Races.[1]
In 2004, Kirwa won the Baltimore Marathon 5K in a time of 14:33.
He received Finnish citizenship in June 2005.
Kirwa won the 5000m Finland championship in 2005 (14:14.28) and won the Finland half-marathon championships in 2003 (1:03:44). In the Finnish 10000m championships, he won silver medal in 2005.
In the IAAF World Cup in 2005 Kirwa was the 39th place in the marathon. In the 2006 Rotterdam Marathon, he finished in twelfth place in 2:13:09.[2] In April 2008, Kirwa won the Padua Marathon in 2:11:00.
