Josh Cox (1975-) is an American ultra-marathon runner who holds the American record in the 50K.

The youngest qualifier (age 24) at the 2000 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials, Cox is considered by many to be a top young American marathoning prospect. He was a member of the Fila Discovery USA program, training under the tutelege of Dr. Gabriele Rosa of Italy. His training has included training camp in Kenya, based out of the home of Moses Tanuiwon and set course record at the 1997 Mountain Masochist 50 Mile Trail Run. He continues to train with Rosa after the Discovery program was discontinued.[1]

2009: Set American Record at the Phoenix Rock 'n Roll 50K (2:47:17)[2]
2008: DNF at the Olympic Trials; Won Rocket City Marathon (2:21:19)
2004: 47th at World Half Marathon Championships (1:08:38); Finished 7th in the Olympic Trials (2:15:18).
2002: 18th at LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon (2:15:01)best of 2:15:01.
2001: 14th at Boston Marathon (2:16:17); 35th at World Championships marathon (2:26.52); best of 2:16:17.
2000: Ran 2:13:55 PR at the 2000 LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon; the fourth fastest American of the year; 18th at the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials; USA 20K National Championship runner-up; Chiba Ekiden team member
1999: Debuted at the Suzuki Rock 'n' Roll Marathon (2:19:58).
