Mexico is a nation which sends athletes to the Olympics. Mexico hosted the 1968 Summer Olympics and the 1955 and 1975 Pan American Games in Mexico City. It will host the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara.

Olympic Development Center

In anticipation of the 1968 Summer Olympics. Mexico established an Olympic Development Center (CDOM) in 1964. The center is located northeast of Mexico City and has a 400m tartan track.[2] The directors of the CDOM have been:[3]

The CDOM also includes an Olympic Museum which displays replicas of the medals earned by Mexican athletes and their uniforms and other artifacts.[4] The Museum opened on August 4, 1994. The CDOM also houses the Guillermo Montoya Library of audiovideo materials.[5] The complex includes dormatories for 380 male and 244 female athletes.[6]
