Tomoe Abe is a retired marathon and ultramarathoner from Japan.

Career highlights

Tomoe Abe won the bronze medal in the marathon at the 1993 World Championships in a time of 2:31:01 hours. Her personal best time was 2:26:09 hours, achieved when she won the 1994 Osaka Marathon. [1][2]

She set the world record over the ultramarathon distance of 100 kilometres with a time of 6:33:11 on June 25, 2000 at Lake Saroma in Tokoro, Japan.[3]
