The Walt Disney World Marathon is a 26.2 mile road race conducted in Orlando, Florida each January by Disney. The 2009 race will be held on January 11, 2009, and a half marathon and 5K fun run are also held. The "Goofy's Race and a half challenge" offers runners the opportunity to compete in both the half marathon and marathon on consecutive days based upon their combined performace in the two events.

History
The race was established to fill a low-volume weekend at the Disney theme parks. The race is mostly packaged with hotel accommodations at the various Disney-operated hotels.
Course
The course runs through the theme parks with Disney characters in costumes cheering on the runners.
